This June marks the 25th Anniversary of AIDS. ACT UP has for the last 19 years played an important role in mobilizing public opinion against the disease again and again. While we have won important battles, but the war is not yet over. Still no cure, no vaccine and the religious right is pushing back the clock on condom availability and attacking needle exchange. Please march with ACT UP/NY this Sunday in Manhattan's LGBT Pride march to send a message to the community that we are still here and we need them to help us fight.
We assemble at 11am at 53rd street between 5th and Madison Street. The march begins at 12 noon. We are in the first section, so please be there to march with us. Ken Bing is coordinating marching. His cell phone is 347-451-2090.
The theme is "We'll be history when AIDS Is". Please join us for whatever amount of time you can.
